Vancouver Film Studios is uniquely designed to meet the needs of even the most demanding film, television and commercial projects and has hosted more than 100 feature films and TV series.

 

Vancouver Film Studios began in 1997 by the McLean Family and the McLean Group of Companies, when the family acquired Northstar Studios. After rebranding to Vancouver Film Studios in 1999, we went on to build 13 state of the art sound stages alongside existing construction mills and office spaces to serve the growing needs of international and North American producers. In June 2023, Vancouver Film Studios was acquired by L.A. based Hackman Capital Partners.

Our full-service facility features an array of support services, provided by our two subsidiaries, Pacific Backlot Services and Signal Systems.

We respectfully acknowledge that we are privileged to live and work on the traditional, ancestral and unceded Coast Salish Territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. While we are physically located in East Vancouver, we acknowledge that there are over 200 distinct and unique First Nations in BC that our sector relies upon to work and live. We will remain committed to the continual support and collaboration of Indigenous filmmakers, storytellers and audiences.
