2024 - VFS publishes their fourth annual Impact Report, formally known as the Corporate Social Responsibility Report
2023 - VFS awards their second Indigenous Filmmakers Bursary to Shaelyn Johnston for her project "Anishinnabemowin"

2023 - VFS releases the Sustainability Scoop, a newsletter shared with productions to assist in providing sustainable practices while on the lot

2023 - VFS publishes their third annual Corporate Social Responsibility Report

2022 - VFS installs Progress Pride flag crosswalk, designed by Daniel Quasar

2022 - VFS partners with BC Adoption Services and Aged Out to create the first annual Vancouver Film Studios Indigenous Bursaries which awards financial assistance to indigenous persons who plan to pursue any kind of formal or informal career-related education or training in BC

2022 - VFS awards their very first Indigenous Filmmakers Bursary to Kira Doxtator for her project "Poem for My Future"
2022 - VFS publishes their second annual Corporate Social Responsibility Report

2022 - VFS opens the very first LEED certified, solar powered sound stage in Canada

2021 – VFS publishes their first Corporate Social Responsibility Report

2021 – VFS partners with East Van Bees to become a host site for local hives

2021 – VFS becomes a certified B Corporation

2020 – VFS Sustainability Committee is formed

2020 – VFS becomes Climate Smart certified

2019 – VFS becomes a signatory to The Creative Industries Pact for Sustainable Action

2018 – VFS hires Green Spark Group to write a sustainability report and road map to our goals

2018 – VFS installs 12 Electric Vehicle charging stations

2014 – VFS establishes their Community Garden

2013 – VFS participates in the Still Creek Enhancement project and after an 80 year absence salmon return to creek

2012 – Vancouver Film Studios becomes a Reel Green partner
​
2008 – VFS becomes the first carbon neutral studio facility in Canada
